Our expert-led course equips you with essential knowledge and proven techniques to safely handle weapons in freezing conditions while protecting yourself from the dangers of extreme cold. Learn how to maintain equipment functionality, prevent cold-related injuries, and stay operationally ready when temperatures drop. This class incorporates night shooting and will require a quality weapon mounted light.

Description

 

  • VerTac Winter Carbine  starts with building a solid shooting foundation and proper gear set-up. You will learn to fundamentally understand your rifles specific zero and how it applies with your selected ammo type. We then advance to clearing weapon malfunctions, and learning various shooting positions.


Required Equipment

  • Carbine with a Weapon Mounted Light
  • 450 rounds ammunition
  • (No Steel Core Ammo / Green Tip)
  • Three 30 round magazines (3 minimum, we recommend 5)
  • Sling (mandatory)
  • Belt that can support your equipment
  • Clothing appropriate for the scheduled weather
  • Hand Warmers / Body Warmers
  • Gloves appropriate for the weather and shooting
  • Plate carrier or chest Rig. (Optional)
  • Batteries for electronics
  • Weapons lube & tools
  • Hydration & water
  • Pistol and pistol belt are optional to wear, but will not be used. 
  • No Cloth or leather Holsters -We recommend the Safariland ALS or GLS line of holsters
  • No Blackhawk Serpa Holsters
  • No SIG P320 Pistols
  • Notepad, sharpie, & pen
  • Ear & eye protection (Electronic ear protection recommended)
  • Folding table and chair
  • Personal protective equipment (this is just a reminder in case you would like to utilize protective equipment)

Class deposit is required to hold your seat, the deposit is non refundable and the remaining balance must be paid within 30 days of your scheduled class date.
