Carry With Confidence. Train With Purpose.
We're not here to rush you through a generic CCW certificate. We're here to help you become a more skilled, informed, and responsible person who carries concealed—whatever your starting point.
The Permit Is a Benefit. The Training Is the Point.
Concealed Carry Concepts is VerTac's approach to the one-day concealed carry course: a day devoted to developing real pistol skills, understanding the realities of carrying concealed, and appreciating the responsibility that comes with it. Successful completion also satisfies the training requirement to apply for an Idaho Enhanced Concealed Weapons License.
Beginners are absolutely welcome. Our instructors meet you at your current skill level, encourage your questions, and provide supportive coaching. Experienced shooters are welcome, too—there is always room to refine fundamentals and improve decision-making.
Why invest in VerTac training?
You're Investing in the Instruction, Not Just the Certificate.
A basic, permit-focused CCW class may cost around $125. At $330, VerTac Concealed Carry Concepts offers something more: experienced instructors who focus on your progress, a deliberate teaching methodology, and meaningful time spent building your pistol skills. You're not just paying for a sign-off. You're investing in the confidence and understanding that come from quality instruction.
Instructors Who Invest in You
Expect clear explanations, demonstrations, individual feedback, and coaching that helps you recognize what's working and what can improve. We care about your progress—not simply finishing the curriculum.
Training With a Method
We explain why skills matter, teach sound fundamentals, and use purposeful repetitions to help you build a foundation you can practice long after class ends.
Professional, Positive Atmosphere
Serious training doesn't have to feel intimidating. Ask questions, learn at your level, and enjoy an encouraging environment where students are treated with respect.
We don't want you leaving impressed by a piece of paper. We want you leaving impressed by what you learned.
What You'll Learn
Practical skills, responsible decisions, and confidence built through coaching
The VerTac Approach
Learn It. Practice It. Understand It.
Real confidence comes from knowing what you're doing, why you're doing it, and how to keep getting better.
Practical Pistol Proficiency
Safe handling, shooting fundamentals, accuracy, and efficient firearm manipulation—taught with meaningful practice and individual coaching.
Concealed Carry Concepts
Carry equipment and holster selection, concealment methods, situational awareness, and practical considerations for responsible everyday carry.
Legal, Ethical & Moral Responsibility
Learn the legal framework for defensive force and explore the restraint, judgment, and ethical considerations behind responsible firearm ownership.
Confidence Through Coaching
A supportive place to ask questions and improve. Whether you're new or experienced, we emphasize understanding and progress over intimidation.
Permit-qualifying documentation is one outcome of the class. Better skills and judgment are the goal.
Leave with a clearer idea of your strengths, areas to work on, and how to make future practice productive.
